DESCRIPTION:Over the last three years\, conservative Virginians have fought against government regulations eliminating gas cars in the commonwealth. The regulation\, instituted in 2021\, ties Virginia to the same emission standards and vehicle requirements as California. Efforts to repeal the “Clean Car” act were blocked in the democratically controlled state senate last session. \nThe American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers is holding a telephone town hall for Virginia residents this Monday\, October 30\, at 7:15 p.m. The town hall is focused on Virginia’s vehicle regulations\, and specifically the 2021 law signed by former Governor Ralph Northam that requires Virginia to follow California’s electric vehicle sales mandate and eventually California’s ban on sales of all new gas cars and trucks. \nIf you’re looking for more information about this topic and the ongoing effort led by Governor Glenn Youngkin to have the 2021 law repealed\, please consider dialing into the town hall. \nHere’s the information for Monday\, October 30\, at 7:15 p.m.:  \n–        Phone number: 877-229-8493 \n–        Pin number to join the call: 122568 \nParticipants will have the option to ask questions of a range of speakers during the call\, including: \n–        Virginia Delegate Tony Wilt\, sponsor of legislation to repeal the 2021 law and take away California’s control over the cars Virginians will and won’t be able to buy in future years. \n–        Steve Bradbury\, Distinguished Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and a frequent writer and speaker about vehicle policy issues. \n–        Chet Thompson\, President and CEO of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM).
