SUMMARY:Summer Summit 2023 - "Enemies: Seen and Unseen"
DESCRIPTION:The Virginia Tea Party always tries to present members with engaging and relevant summits twice a year. Our next summit will be June 10th at the Sheraton Airport Hotel (same as last time)\, 5501 Eubank Rd.\, Sandston\, VA 23150\, 804-226-6400 with the same low price of $40\, which includes a box lunch. \nAs we all know\, America is currently facing many enemies\, some like China\, are readily apparent but others are often hidden from us. In keeping with this idea\, we developed our June summit as the Enemies: Seen and Unseen. \nThe seen enemy of China will be presented to us by CMD John Hooper\, US Coast Guard retired who is an expert on China. He will share with us information on how China is a threat to our homeland. In view of the recent “weather” balloon\, this will be a very interesting presentation. \nNow who are the enemies that are unseen\, lurking behind facades of government? China Joe\, of course readily comes to mind!! However\, there are others who pretend to be patriots but are secretly working against the best interests of our Congress and our statehouses. To address this we have Congressman Bob Good who held up the appointment of Speaker McCarthy until certain agreements were made. \nIn our own statehouse in Richmond there are many others who hide behind a cloak of conservatism\, but are really “woke” leftists\, unseen enemies. To address this problem\, we have two speakers from Americans For Prosperity\, C. J. Sailor\, Director of AFP for Virginia and Matt Davison\, Assistant Director of AFP. They have spent many months examining all the General Assembly races and the candidates for the November election and will give us their assessment along with suggestions for how we as Tea Party folks can make sure we elect the guys in “white hats” to the GA in November. \nWe think this summit will be an eye opener for all of us and we plan to see you there!! \n\n\nEvent Program\n\n\n\nTime\nTopic\n\n\n\n\n9:30 – 10:00 AM\nRegistration\n\n\n10:00 AM\nIntro and welcome by Buddy Bishop. \nOpening Prayer \nThe National Anthem performed on flute by Ms. Michelle Matts.\n\n\n10:15 AM\n Nelson Velez\, VATP Chairman’s introductory remarks\n\n\n10:20 AM\nLynn Taylor introduces Congressman Bob Good \n45 minutes presentation\, 15 minutes for Q&A\n\n\n11:20 AM\nAward presentation to Congressman Good by American Conservative Agenda\n\n\n11:30 AM\n10 minute break\n\n\n11:40 AM\nIntro of Commander John Hooper to discuss the threat China poses to the Homeland \n45-minute presentation\, 15-minute Q&A.\n\n\n12:45 PM\nLunch and networking\n\n\n1:30 PM\nMr. C.J. Nelson VelezChairman\, VATPSo much bad has happened to our Republic\, just in the last several years. We have been besieged on all fronts and for such a long time. And there seems to be no bottom. The left’s onslaught on our Republic\, rights\, freedom and rule of law seems be full throttle and progressing without any serious backlash. And so\, the left has become increasingly open in expressing their radical agenda. Make no mistake\, we do fight the threats both seen and unseen.\nBut the good news is WE have become increasingly unified with natural allies. We have not gone away. On this Enemies Seen & Unseen summit\, we have champions that have been tested on the battlefield in support of our foundational principles. Today\, we take on the threats both seen and unseen and we present our pathway to victory. And once we win\, we will purge all the nasty\, lawless and radical legislation that has held our freedoms\, rights and even our children hostage.\nOn this day\, we signal the beginning of the end to the bad direction from the radical left. And\, On this Day\, We the People Ascend! \nOur Event Sponsors\nGoldSilverBronzeNorthern Neck Patriots

SUMMARY:NOW CANCELLED: Virginia Tea Party Winter Summit
DESCRIPTION:NOW CANCELLED –  Dec 1st VATP SUMMIT\n\nAs the Virginia Tea Party ushers in the close of the year\, we have a lot to look back on and celebrate. Thanks to supporters like you\, our organization is stronger than ever. We held several successful conferences\, and played a key role in facilitating thoughtful debate among Virginia’s conservative activists as they nominated candidates for public office across Virginia. \nOur December 1st conference\, coinciding with our annual meeting\, was planned to be the latest in our string of successes. We put together a compelling program with issue leaders from all over America\, and looked forward to seeing you on Saturday. \n\nHowever\, I am writing to let you know that at this time\, the conference has been cancelled.\n\nWith each conference\, we strive to achieve two goals: (1) develop an excellent educational program; and (2) facilitate networking and collaboration between the activists and organizations of Virginia’s conservative movement. \nAs frustrating as I know this is for you (and for all of us)\, due to factors outside of our control\, we simply could not guarantee the experience that we strive to provide to our members and attendees. Accordingly\, a full refund will be issued to all those who have purchased tickets. \nWe have an excellent group of new officers nominated to lead our organization\, and I have no doubt that they will do an excellent job building the organization in the new year. Many exciting plans are already in the works\, and we look forward to updating you with more information shortly. \nHave a Merry Christmas\, and a very Happy New Year. \n\nSincerely\,\nRick Buchanan \nVATP Chairman \nAgenda \n\n\n\n\nTime\nSession\n\n\n\n\n10:00\nCall to order – Pledge of Allegiance / Prayer\n\n\n10:05\nOpening remarks\n\n\n10:10\nMorning Session\n\n\n12:00\nLunch\n\n\n1:00\nAfternoon Session\n\n\n3:00\nBusiness Meeting \n– Election of officers \n– Other business items as required\n\n\n4:00\nEvent Close\n\n\n\n\nSpeakersJEFF THOMAS\nVirginia Politics and Government in A New Century: THE PRICE OF POWER \n“In Virginia Politics and Government in A New Century: THE PRICE OF POWER Jeff Thomas demolishes the state’s conceits that it operates by the honorable principles of gentlemanly cavaliers [known as ‘the Virginia way’].
