SUMMARY:10th Anniversary Summer Summit
DESCRIPTION:Its been 10 years since the tea party movement began in early 2009! Please join us to observe this milestone\, to hear some great speakers/instructors\, and to enjoy the fellowship of like-minded Virginians. More info on our developing program below\, but you can reserve your tickets today! \n\nSteve Moore\, President Trump’s brilliant economic advisor and former Federal Reserve nominee will be there to speak about his experience facing down the radical left’s slanderous smear campaign\, and to talk about the Trump economy.\nBig League Politics will tell you about how they exposed racist Ralph Northam and accused rapist Justin Fairfax with their cutting-edge conservative journalism.\nFreedomWorks will be joining us to explain how Twitter is the new battleground in conservative politics\, and how you can influence thousands to make a difference. And they’re also sending John Tamney – an economics expert who will be speaking about how the left lies about “inequality” to push their backwards agenda.\nAnd American Majority will host a one-of-a-kind hands-on workshop that will teach you the ins-and-outs of political campaigns – and how to win on our values.\n\nWe’re giving away three signed copies of Steve Moore’s new book\, Trumponomics: Inside the America First Plan to Revive Our Economy. \nAnd if you’re one of the first 10 patriots to register for our June summit (to mark our 10-year anniversary)\, you’ll be entered in for a chance to receive one. \nAGENDA

SUMMARY:NOW CANCELLED: Virginia Tea Party Winter Summit
DESCRIPTION:NOW CANCELLED –  Dec 1st VATP SUMMIT\n\nAs the Virginia Tea Party ushers in the close of the year\, we have a lot to look back on and celebrate. Thanks to supporters like you\, our organization is stronger than ever. We held several successful conferences\, and played a key role in facilitating thoughtful debate among Virginia’s conservative activists as they nominated candidates for public office across Virginia. \nOur December 1st conference\, coinciding with our annual meeting\, was planned to be the latest in our string of successes. We put together a compelling program with issue leaders from all over America\, and looked forward to seeing you on Saturday. \n\nHowever\, I am writing to let you know that at this time\, the conference has been cancelled.\n\nWith each conference\, we strive to achieve two goals: (1) develop an excellent educational program; and (2) facilitate networking and collaboration between the activists and organizations of Virginia’s conservative movement. \nAs frustrating as I know this is for you (and for all of us)\, due to factors outside of our control\, we simply could not guarantee the experience that we strive to provide to our members and attendees. Accordingly\, a full refund will be issued to all those who have purchased tickets. \nWe have an excellent group of new officers nominated to lead our organization\, and I have no doubt that they will do an excellent job building the organization in the new year. Many exciting plans are already in the works\, and we look forward to updating you with more information shortly. \nHave a Merry Christmas\, and a very Happy New Year. \n\nSincerely\,\nRick Buchanan \nVATP Chairman \nAgenda \n\n\n\n\nTime\nSession\n\n\n\n\n10:00\nCall to order – Pledge of Allegiance / Prayer\n\n\n10:05\nOpening remarks\n\n\n10:10\nMorning Session\n\n\n12:00\nLunch\n\n\n1:00\nAfternoon Session\n\n\n3:00\nBusiness Meeting \n– Election of officers \n– Other business items as required\n\n\n4:00\nEvent Close\n\n\n\n\nSpeakersJEFF THOMAS\nVirginia Politics and Government in A New Century: THE PRICE OF POWER \n“In Virginia Politics and Government in A New Century: THE PRICE OF POWER Jeff Thomas demolishes the state’s conceits that it operates by the honorable principles of gentlemanly cavaliers [known as ‘the Virginia way’]. As his richly reported work reveals\, the state is run entirely opposite to the Jeffersonian values it pretends to embrace.” \n-Peter Galuszka\, reporter at Style weekly \nDAVID LUSK\nSession 1: Combating Advocate Fatigue: Practical Tips for Boosting Engagement\nRecruiting advocates for your cause isn’t easy. It requires time\, energy\, and sometimes\, financial resources.
