HHS*, the lawsuit regarding the federal health care reform law known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

February 3: Deadline for amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) briefs supporting the government on PPACA’s severability

February 6: Deadline for plaintiff states/NFIB to file reply briefs to the government and its amici on PPACA’s individual mandate

February 10: Deadline for the government’s brief responding to the plaintiff states on PPACA’s Medicaid expansion

February 13: Deadline for amicus briefs supporting the plaintiff states/NFIB on their challenge to PPACA’s individual mandate

February 17: Deadline for the PPACA severability brief from SCOTUS-appointed amicus counsel, H. Bartow Farr III

February 17: Deadline for amicus briefs supporting the government on PPACA’s Medicaid expansion

February 24: Deadline for amicus briefs supporting the SCOTUS-appointed amicus counsel on PPACA’s severability

February 27: Deadline for NFIB’s reply brief on whether the federal Anti-Injunction Act precludes SCOTUS from hearing the case before the individual mandate’s penalties take effect in 2015

March 7: Deadline for the government’s reply brief on PPACA’s individual mandate

March 12: Deadline for the SCOTUS-appointed amicus counsel’s reply brief on the federal Anti-Injunction Act

March 12: Deadline for the plaintiff states’ reply brief on PPACA’s Medicaid expansion

March 13: Deadline for the plaintiff states/NFIB/government to file reply briefs on PPACA’s severability
