Early voting is well underway in Virginia.

We ask you to VOTE early in-person ASAP at one of the voting locations in your home locality.

In-Person Absentee voting will continue Monday through Friday until November 1st, 2024. Every In-person Absentee voting office will be open on the final two Saturdays (October 26th and November 2nd) before Election Day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. (Some localities may have one or more Sunday voting days. Hours of operation will vary depending on the day of the week and your location; please check with your local general registrar’s office for times and locations of operation for early voting.)

There is a long and respected American tradition of voting on Election Day, but due to the current (poor) policy of 45 days of early voting, it is imperative to vote on the first day you can cast your ballot. As soon as you sign in at the poll book, your name is marked as having voted. You place your ballot into the counting machine, where it is counted right then and there. It cannot be lost in the mail or misplaced when taken out of a drop box — this will give you greater peace of mind. Why? Because it is YOU who is placing your own ballot into the machine, where it is immediately recorded. No waiting!

There have been reports of some voters arriving to the polls on election day to vote and being told that they have already voted! In other words, someone had already submitted a ballot in their name. Don’t let this happen to you!

We strongly encourage you to VOTE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Starting today, early voting will be available at every local general registrar’s office and may be available at additional locations in your locality as well.

Do Not Wait. Leave no room for any mistake that would prevent your voice from being heard in this election.
The Virginia ballot for this election includes candidates for President of the United States, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, local races in some locations, local referendums in some locations, and a statewide proposed Virginia Constitution amendment change regarding a tax exemption for surviving spouses of soldiers who have died.
