Mr. Cain’s rapid rise to prominence and the accompanying media attention has continued over the last few days. A recent Fox News poll showed he had quadrupled his support in the last month, while CBS showed him locked in a tie at the top of the GOP field after a 12% gain over the last two weeks.
Last Friday night he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Locally, the NBC affiliate mentioned Mr. Cain’s appearance at the Gala in a story on Virginia’s strategic place in the next presidential election.
