I’m pleased to announce that we will be hosting a candidate forum for the four candidates for Virginia Attorney General this upcoming Tuesday!
Join us on Tuesday, April 27th from 7:00 to 8:00PM to hear from the candidates for Virginia Attorney General as they answer a variety of questions about how they will fight for Virginians, and what they will do differently from Democrat Mark Herring.
The candidate forum will stream live on the Virginia Tea Party Facebook page starting at 7:00PM.
The Candidates:
Jack White – www.votejackwhite.com
Jack White, a conservative outsider with a lifetime of service, is seeking the Republican nomination to become Virginia’s Attorney General. He is running for Attorney General in order to build up our civic congregation, and to ensure that Virginia has a lawyer that is on the Commonwealth’s side, not the side of a political agenda.
Jason Miyares – www.jasonmiyares.com
Delegate Jason Miyares is an example of President Ronald Reagan’s “Shining City upon a Hill.” His story begins with his mother, Miriam Maria Miyares, who fled communist Cuba in 1965 with the clothes on her back and no idea from where her next meal would come. She legally immigrated to the United States and instilled in her three sons a passionate love of the freedom and democracy of America. Miyares grew up in Virginia Beach, attending local public schools and growing up in a middle-class household that emphasized the values of hard work, love of country, and service above self.
Leslie Haley – www.haleyforag.com
Leslie Haley has been an active community leader in Virginia for close to three decades. Her commitment to ethics and integrity throughout her career have shaped who she is as a leader both in her profession and in her community. Leslie Haley has a proven track record of reducing government, supporting small business, and providing steady conservative leadership.
Chuck Smith – www.chucksmith4ag.com
During his naval career, Chuck served as a Prosecutor, Defense Counsel, Administrative Discharge Officer, and an assignment as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney (Prosecutor) at the U.S. Magistrate Office at Norfolk, Virginia. Chuck is married to his beautiful wife Edith, and has five children, one of whom is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. Chuck is a licensed attorney in Virginia and Iowa (both by examination), and is fluent in Spanish.
Friend, the Republican Nominating Convention is coming up fast on May 8th. If you are a delegate, or are concerned about the future direction of the Commonwealth — and making sure that law and order are upheld — this is your chance to get to know the candidates for Attorney General.
So make sure to tune in!
Sincerely,
Nelson Velez
Chairman, Virginia Tea Party
